Overview

 

Come explore Alaska off the road in a guided, climate controlled, Search & Rescue SHERP while staying safe from the weather, bugs, and occasional wild animal. 

Duration: 3 Hours

Meeting point: 175 Pioneer Rd Healy, Alaska (we also offer shuttle pickup from Local hotels north of the National Park Entrance

Cancellation Policy:  Full Refunds if canceled more than 24 hours before tour start time

Age: 100 and under

Group size: Maximum 18 people

Activity details


Come explore the Alaska Wilderness off the road. Explore in a guided and climate controlled Search & Rescue Fat Truck/Sherp while staying safe from the weather, bugs, and the occasional wild animal. This 3 Hour tour takes you off road up steep mining trails to vista views, teaches you about the local history, and geological formations near Denali National Park in an adventurous off road SHERP Rescue Vehicle. (Plan on about 3.5-4 hours if using the the hotel shuttle service from select hotels during the summer season)

Itinerary
1) Pickup at local hotels OR drive to our trail head location.
2) Meet your Guide & Vehicle Familiarization/Safety Briefing
3) Ride to different Lookout Points up to the Upper Lookout
4) Upper Lookout stop, photos, drone (weather permitting), and learn.
5) Ride to Dry Creek Riverbed and visit the Cliffs.
6) Dry Creek stop, photos, and learn about geology.
7) Ride to Otto Lake
8) Amphibious ride into (float) Otto Lake OR on the Ice Covered Lake in the winter (winter tours offer a stop on the frozen lake with ice cleats provided).
9) Return to Trailhead, download Drone Video (weather permitting) gift shop.
10) Depart on shuttle or via-your personal vehicle.
